Welcome to Ghost Chatter ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Ghost Chatter mobile application ("App") and any related services provided by us.

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you are using the App on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind such entity to these Terms.

Ghost Chatter is a professional ghost hunting companion app designed for paranormal investigations. The App provides:

 

Core Features

- **Session Management**: Estes, Isolation, Spirit Box, Oracle, and other investigation session types

- **Question Systems**: Pre-built and custom question libraries for paranormal investigations

- **Voice Integration**: Text-to-speech functionality with system voices and premium AI voices

- **Recording Capabilities**: Video and audio recording during investigation sessions with watermarks

- **Equipment Tracking**: Custom equipment configurations and usage tracking

- **Progress System**: Leveling, achievements, badges, and experience points

- **Leaderboard**: Competitive ranking system with global and category-based leaderboards

- **Social Features**: User profiles, verification system, and community elements

- **Oracle Feature**: AI-powered visualizations, sensor monitoring, and custom word banks

- **Live Streaming**: Integration with Twitch for live streaming investigation sessions

- **Ad-Supported Features**: Rewarded ads for extended session time and additional features

 

Oracle Feature

- **Sensor Monitoring**: Environmental anomaly detection using device sensors

- **AI Image Generation**: AI-generated visualizations based on detected words

- **Custom Word Banks**: Create and manage custom word categories for Oracle

- **Detection History**: Track and review Oracle detection sessions

- **Visual Feedback**: Real-time sensor visualization and EMF indicators

 

Premium Features

- **AI Voices**: Premium AI voices for enhanced experience

- **Custom Questions**: Ability to create and manage custom investigation questions

- **Custom Equipment**: Create and track custom investigation equipment

- **Advanced Intervals**: Custom timer intervals for different session types

- **Offline Voice Cache**: Download and cache voices for offline use

- **Advanced Settings**: Enhanced customization and control options

- **Unlimited Session Time**: No time limits on investigation sessions

- **Ad-Free Experience**: No advertisements displayed

 

User Accounts and Registration

Account Creation

- You may use the App with automatically generated usernames or create custom usernames

- Custom usernames require an email address for account recovery purposes

- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information

 

Username Guidelines

- Usernames must be 3-20 characters long

- Usernames may contain letters, numbers, and spaces only

- Usernames must not contain profanity or inappropriate content

- Custom usernames can be changed once every 7 days

- Generated usernames can be changed at any time

 

Account Security

- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account

- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

 

Acceptable Use

 

Permitted Uses

You may use the App for:

- Professional paranormal investigations

- Personal paranormal research

- Educational purposes related to paranormal investigation techniques

- Entertainment purposes in a responsible manner

 

Prohibited Uses

 

You may not use the App to:

- **Illegal Activities**: Engage in or promote illegal activities

- **Harmful Content**: Create, upload, or share harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content

- **Harassment**: Harass, bully, or intimidate other users

- **Impersonation**: Impersonate others or create false identities

- **Spam**: Send unsolicited messages or spam

- **Hacking**: Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts

- **Commercial Use**: Use the App for commercial purposes without permission

- **Interference**: Interfere with the App's functionality or other users' experience

- **AI Misuse**: Use Oracle AI image generation to create inappropriate, harmful, or illegal content

- **Financial Decisions**: Use Oracle or any App features for financial, medical, legal, or health-related decisions

- **Harmful Activities**: Use the App to cause harm to yourself or others

- **Ad Manipulation**: Attempt to manipulate, block, or interfere with advertisements

 

Content Guidelines

- All content created or uploaded must be appropriate for general audiences

- Content must not violate copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights

- Content must not contain personal information of others without consent

- Custom word banks must not contain profanity or inappropriate content

- We reserve the right to remove content that violates these guidelines

Oracle Feature Terms

Sensor Monitoring

- Oracle uses device sensors (magnetometer) to detect environmental anomalies

- Sensor readings are processed locally on your device

- Sensor data is not transmitted to our servers

- Sensor readings are for entertainment purposes only and do not indicate actual paranormal activity

 

AI Image Generation

- Oracle generates AI images based on words detected during sessions

- Images are generated using third-party AI services (Stability AI)

- Generated images are stored locally on your device

- AI-generated images are artistic interpretations and not representations of actual events

- You may not use AI-generated images for commercial purposes without permission

- We are not responsible for the content or accuracy of AI-generated images

Custom Word Banks

- You may create custom word categories and add words to Oracle

- Custom words are filtered for profanity and inappropriate content

- Custom word banks are stored locally on your device

- You are responsible for the content of your custom word banks

- We reserve the right to remove or filter inappropriate words

Oracle Disclaimers

- Oracle is for entertainment purposes only

- Oracle does not detect, communicate with, or prove the existence of paranormal entities

- AI-generated images are artistic visualizations, not evidence of paranormal activity

- Sensor readings may be affected by environmental factors, device interference, or technical limitations

- Do not use Oracle for financial, medical, legal, or health-related decisions

- Do not use Oracle in ways that could cause harm to yourself or others

 

Advertising Terms

Ad-Supported Features

- The App includes advertisements to support free features

- Rewarded ads allow you to earn additional session time or features

- Ad viewing is optional and not required for basic app functionality

- Premium users do not see advertisements

Rewarded Ads

- Watching rewarded ads grants you additional features or session time

- Ad rewards are granted immediately upon successful ad completion

- We are not responsible if ads fail to load or display

- Ad availability may vary by region and device

- Ad networks may collect data as described in our Privacy Policy

Ad Network Terms

- Ads are delivered through IronSource LevelPlay and partner ad networks

- Ad networks have their own terms of service and privacy policies

- You may limit ad tracking through your device settings

- We do not control ad content, but we work with reputable ad networks

 

Live Streaming Terms

Twitch Integration

- Live streaming is an optional feature that requires a Twitch account

- You must comply with Twitch's Terms of Service when using streaming features

- We are not responsible for Twitch account issues or streaming problems

- Stream content must comply with Twitch's community guidelines

- You are responsible for obtaining necessary permissions for streaming locations

 

Streaming Responsibilities

- You are responsible for all content streamed through the App

- You must respect privacy rights when streaming

- You must comply with local laws regarding recording and streaming

- We are not liable for issues arising from streaming activities

 

Premium Services and Subscriptions

Subscription Plans

- **Monthly Premium**: $5.99/month

- **Yearly Premium**: $11.99/year

 

Subscription Terms

- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date

- Payment will be charged to your iTunes account after confirmation of purchase

- Subscription prices may change with 30 days' notice

- Subscriptions are non-transferable and non-refundable except as required by law

 

Cancellation

- Cancel subscriptions through your iTunes/Google play account settings

- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period

- No refunds for unused portions of cancelled subscriptions

Free Trial

- Premium features may be offered as free trials

- Trial periods and features are subject to change without notice

- Trials automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled

 

Privacy and Data Protection

- Ad availability and functionality are not guaranteed

 

Paranormal Investigations

- The App is designed for entertainment and educational purposes

- We do not guarantee the accuracy or effectiveness of paranormal investigation techniques

- Users should exercise caution and judgment when conducting investigations

- The App is not a substitute for professional paranormal investigation services

Oracle Feature Disclaimers

- **Entertainment Only**: Oracle is for entertainment purposes only

- **Not Scientific**: Oracle does not use scientific methods or provide scientific evidence

- **No Paranormal Detection**: Oracle does not detect, communicate with, or prove the existence of paranormal entities

- **AI Images**: AI-generated images are artistic visualizations, not evidence or representations of actual events

- **Sensor Limitations**: Sensor readings may be affected by environmental factors, device interference, or technical limitations

- **No Guarantees**: We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or effectiveness of Oracle features

- **Not for Important Decisions**: Do not use Oracle for financial, medical, legal, health-related, or safety-critical decisions

Spirit Box Feature

- The Spirit Box feature simulates radio scanning and may capture random audio

- Any responses or sounds are coincidental and not direct communication

- Users should not rely on Spirit Box responses for important decisions

- The feature is for entertainment purposes only

AI Image Generation Disclaimers

- AI-generated images are created by artificial intelligence and may not accurately represent reality

- Images are artistic interpretations based on text prompts

- We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or appropriateness of AI-generated images

- AI-generated images may contain unexpected or inappropriate content

- Users are responsible for reviewing and using AI-generated images appropriately

 

Limitation of Liability

- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages

- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the App or subscription

- We are not liable for issues arising from:

- Use of Oracle features for important decisions

- AI-generated image content or accuracy

- Ad network issues or ad content

- Twitch streaming issues

- Third-party service failures

- These limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law

 

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ghost Chatter, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

- Your use of the App

- Your violation of these Terms

- Your violation of any third-party rights

- Any content you create or upload

- Your use of Oracle features for important decisions

- Your use of AI-generated images

- Your streaming activities

- Your interaction with advertisements

 

Termination

By You

- You may stop using the App at any time

- You may delete your account through the App settings

- Some data may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy

 

By Us

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately if:

- You violate these Terms

- You engage in fraudulent or illegal activities

- You misuse Oracle or AI features

- You use the App for harmful purposes

- We discontinue the App or service

Free User Limitations

- Free users have limited daily session time (10 minutes for Spirit Box)

- Additional time may be earned through watching rewarded ads

- Some features may be limited for free users

- Premium users have unlimited access to all features

By using the Ghost Chatter app, you acknowledge that:

- You have read and understood these Terms

- You agree to be bound by these Terms

- You are at least 13 years of age

- You will use the App responsibly and in accordance with these Terms

- You understand that Oracle and AI features are for entertainment purposes only

- You will not use Oracle or AI features for important decisions

- You will not use the App for harmful purposes
